Tuber Brumale

Ripening period: 15 December to 15 March

Properties: It is very often confused with black truffle (Tuber Melanosporum) because they share the same habitat and live in symbiosis with the same plant species. Externally, it is a brownish black color and is covered with small warts. Its interior is dark brown with very pronounced white veins. Its aroma is reminiscent of nutmeg and it grows under deciduous trees.
