Tuber Indicum

Ripening period: 1 December to 31 March

Characteristics: Chinese truffle. This truffle is cheap and available in large quantities during the winter truffle season. We can also find Chinese truffles with the names Tuber himalayense, Tuber pseudo himalayense and Tuber sinense. They look like Tuber melanosporum, but have almost no aroma and are tough in texture.
The faint aroma is nutty.
